Why does my University Degree need to be Apostilled?

October 24, 2015

If you are a graduate of an Australian University and you are required to present your testamur or academic Transcript to an overseas authority, that relevant overseas authority often requires that your documents be presented to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) for an the issue of an Apostille or Authentication Certificate.

DFAT will only Apostille or Authenticate public documents.

As University testamurs and transcripts are not public documents, DFAT will not issue the appropriate certificate unless they have been certified or verified. Our Public Notary has assisted many graduates of Australian universities by certifying and verifying their educational documents so that they comply with DFAT’s requirements.

Should you wish to engage our verification or legalisation services give us a call on 1300 171 898 or send us an online enquiry form and we will respond as soon as possible.
